Ever thought of giving your bedroom a marine theme makeover? Sounds like a fun idea. Why marine but? Well, marine theme means water inspired theme which further explicates the calmness and tranquility that water speaks of! And it obviously is a great choice for a bedroom decor as bedrooms are meant to be relaxing and calming and a marine themed decor would only enhance that experience of calmness and relaxation!

The first thing that you need to do is book some professional painters to do your bedroom walls in nice marine themes. Get fishes made or just get simple blue sea made on the walls. You may choose for a base color for walls and get sea waves painted on it along with some sketches of the under-water life. You can have ivory white walls and have beautiful images made on the walls!

To match these walls, you can buy some bright blue green curtains too. Sheer curtains will look nicer than thick curtains to create a marine effect. The curtains can also be of different colors put together to create an overall effect of marine life. For instance, you can buy green, blue and white sheer curtains and hang them together for a wholesome effect!

The furnishing however must be natural to avoid the feeling of claustrophobia! Yes, you may feel claustrophobic if you overdo the decor and the accessorizing. Choose teak wood beds and tables without a doubt instead of opting carved beds! You may use nice bed spreads pertaining to the theme to make sure that the theme is followed!

You need to accessorize the room with earthen posts and sea shells. You may even grow some indoor plants and place them all around. Indoor plants will add that desired effect of marine life in the room. The sea shells will be colorful and will look great if placed in a nice crystal dish! Place the plants and the crystal dish upon the laminate veneer chest of drawers in your room to complete the look!

Keep the room low on furnishing to ensure that feeling of vastness that marine life speaks of. Do not over stock the room with accessories or any other element, just make sure that the room is empty and vacant and offers mental space.
